Nick Lee (He/Him)

FOUNDER/Editor-in-Chief

Nick Lee is an "International Business" and "Business Entertainment" alum of The American University.  Having worked and interned for prestigious broadcasts such as 'CBS News', 'The Tamron Hall Show' and 'The Daily Show with Trevor Noah'—and as a singer and performer himself—Nick is a passionate advocate for cultural and ethnic diversity in all facets of the entertainment industry. He hopes to use 'The Cultural Reset' to bridge the diversity gap in music through creating a platform where innovative creatives of color and LGBTQ+ identities are uplifted.

Shannon Ervin (she/Hers)

Shannon (Shay) is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a degree in sustainability. In the position of Assistant Director she hopes to use her voice to make space for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ people in the music industry. Shay stands for inclusivity and love. She believes that music has the power to bring people together for change, whether its for equality, justice, or to combat climate change. She believes that music opens peoples ears, heart and minds.  Now that the music industry is having to adjust there is no better place or time for TCR to reset the industry and put the power in the artist's hands.

VICTORIA LAM (she/Hers)

FOUNDER'S ASSISTANT

Born and raised in San Jose, California, Victoria Lam is working towards her Business Administration degree. After years of learning instruments like piano, ukulele, and electric guitar, Victoria grew an interest in pursuing a career in the music industry. Her goals focus on A&R, label management, and music data analysis. Coming from a Vietnamese background, she has seen many talented Asian Americans lack the support systems and resources to gain significant popularity in the American music industry; she hopes to help change that someday. In her free time, Victoria enjoys playing video games, practicing photography, and scrolling through social media.

Ingrid Nin is a conduit for Latinx voices. She recently graduated from The City College of New York in Film and Video Production and plans on one day becoming a creative producer for BIPOC projects. Ingrid also hopes to be the CEO of her own production company focused on content by and for Latinxs.

Leah Trice is from Nashville, Tennessee and is a publicity intern for Present PR, and is a Research/PR volunteer for The Cultural Reset. She believes music is a universal language, and it heals people in different ways. She feels The Cultural Reset helps her to achieve her purpose by uplifting every voice and sharing each unique perspective with my community.

GINA CARRIGAN (she/hers)

Research Volunteer

Gina is from Glasgow, Scotland and is a graduate of the University of Glasgow with a Bachelors degree in Law. After attaining her degree, she went on to pursue a Masters degree in IP law and Knowledge Management at Maastricht University in The Netherlands. It has become a great interest of Gina's to work within the creative industry. Though she is not an artist herself, she wants to be in a position where she gets to further an artist's potential and to protect their interests and rights to their expressive work. She is proud and excited to be a part of 'The Cultural Reset' as a Research Volunteer and to contribute to searching for incredibly talented individuals from the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities who can provide us with their stories and also discuss important societal issues.

KALLEY KENNY (she/hers)

Research Volunteer

Kalley Kenny is an appreciator of all types of music, a sneaker aficionado, an intersectional feminist, and a creative thinker who likes to add wit and a bit of sarcasm into every day. With her past experiences in the different industry realms of music festivals, record labels, and booking agencies, she hopes to use her prior knowledge to further grow and learn from within while also learning from those around her. Her biggest aspiration is to completely flip the music industry on its head and provide a safe space for all those who have been marginalized and silenced for far too long...but until then you can find her sitting and listening to Neo-Soul on her thrifted couch.

Adé joined TCR to create an inclusive community for all musicians from marginalized backgrounds as they are someone who is part of these communities. My advice for aspiring musicians is to continue to make art for yourself and take every opportunity that you can to make sure that you are heard.

Sean is a DC-born, but Vermont-raised music fanatic who’s had a passion for music ever since his mom first made him take piano lessons as a kid. Growing up outside of the states, he’s heard everything from the ear-bursting bachata music of the Dominican Republic to the underground Bollywood hits of South Delhi. Studying Business in Entertainment at American University in DC, he's hoping that The Cultural Reset will be the project to bring both his passion for music and desire to improve the industry together.

Elizabeth Adams is a graduate of The University of Oklahoma, where she earned a degree in marketing and minored in creative media production. KATIA DESTINE (she/THEY)

Katia is an activist and a filmmaker. Aside from filmmaking, they have a passion for writing, graphic design, and social work. They love telling stories centered around women, BIPOC, and the LGBTQ+ community. They want to tell stories that are diverse with accurate representation. They enjoy working for nonprofit organizations and advocating for the voiceless and hope to one day run a nonprofit organization that provides art education to lower-income communities. From Buenos Aires, Argentina, Laura is a graphic designer that has been working in the digital marketing space for the past 5 years. When she went to school to train as a musician she discovered her passion for helping others get their music out there and boosting their careers. To Laura, seeing live music is one of life's greatest pleasures, and she can't wait to get back at a venue soon! She is has been a vegan for almost a decade and, on any given day, the radio is the 1st thing to be turned on and the last thing to off in her house!

Michael Kleine is currently a senior at Millersville University of Pennsylvania and is majoring in 'Music Industry' with concentration in 'Production and Management'. Brianna is a Cal Poly San Luis Obispo alum with a degree in Business Administration, concentration in Marketing Management and minor in Spanish. A born and raised Londoner, Sanj is a Marketing Volunteer for TCR and running the Twitter account with Hannah. Her vision is to develop and strengthen fan-artist relationships through promotion, fan engagement and social responsibility. Sanj believes that in this erratic world, music stays the same. To her, one song tells many different stories, brings people together, and provides comfort. She believes that albums often become figments of real experiences and memories - and that’s what she loves the most about music.

Originally from upstate New York, Gina graduated from Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business where she studied Business Administration, Digital Technology and Emerging Media. Her passion for music began when she was young and continues today with her goal being to help artists spread their music across the globe and have their voices heard. She is looking to further her career in Music Publishing, A&R, or Artist Management. Vita is a 19-year-old visual artist and graphic designer from the Bay Area in California. She is currently attending Las Positas College working towards an AA in Graphic Design and hopes to expand her creative work within TCR.  She has always been a lover of all things art whether it be illustration, writing, music, film, etc. Ensuring that these realms grow in inclusivity of all people is extremely important to her. Danielle Spiegel (she/hers)

Danielle is passionate about amplifying voices that have been underrepresented in music for far too long. Although she grew up on Long Island, New York, she currently attends Drexel University in Philly as a 'Music Industry' major with minors in 'Marketing and Communications'. From Hertfordshire, England, Hannah Tyler is a PR volunteer for The Cultural Reset and helps to run the @TCResetters Twitter account. She is about to finish he degree in Mass Communication and head into the music industry with the aim of promoting the importance of fan-artist relationships and highlighting the significance of fan-engagement strategies. Hannah impressive experience has shown her that fans are so important and intelligent, and deserve a voice. She looks forward to the day that all young people have someone to look up to, that reminds them of themselves, in the music industry. Lauren is a PSU graduate with a Bachelors of Humanities in Communications. She currently volunteers as the Editor of 'That Music Magazine' and help guide a group of  14 writers and 2 photographers to tell you who‘s next in the music industry! The Cultural Reset allows her to help others find their unique voice by helping POC and LGBTQ+ artists tell their story in a very biased music industry. When she's not working, discovering new music, going to shows, or working on advancing my career, she enjoys spending time with my family (including dogs!) and friends, learning new things, thrifting, night driving, writing, + spending time on my deck.

River is a tender-hearted queer and non-binary musician who is endlessly enthralled by the connective power of creative expression. As a music therapy student, they have been a witness to the myriad ways in which sound can bridge seemingly insurmountable differences. It is their belief that by uplifting the voices of artists often neglected by the mainstream music industry, we can build a foundation for what is possible through our visions of a more collaborative and colourful future.
